Frequently Asked Questions

Is StellarFi or Kikoff better for building credit?

They build credit differently, so the better one depends on what you want. StellarFi is now a credit card, and its Silver tier is a secured card at $0 a year that reports to all three bureaus. Kikoff is a small revolving line starting at $5 a month that reports on-time payments, mainly to Equifax and TransUnion, and it also offers rent reporting. If you want an actual card, StellarFi. If you want the cheapest way to add a revolving tradeline, Kikoff Basic. Neither one fixes errors on your report.

How much does each one cost in 2026?

StellarFi moved to a Smart Card with tiers at $0 a year for Silver secured, a $49 annual fee for Gold, and a $99 annual fee for Stellarite. Kikoff runs $5 a month for Basic with a $750 line, $20 a month for Premium, and $35 a month for Ultimate. StellarFi's $0 Silver is the cheapest entry point of the two, but confirm current pricing on each site since StellarFi is mid-transition.

Does StellarFi still report bills like it used to?

Mostly no. StellarFi's original model paid your bills and reported them as a tradeline, but the company transitioned to its Smart Card, and the pure bill-reporting subscription was largely retired. So if your goal was to turn existing bills into credit, StellarFi is no longer the clean fit it was, and a dedicated rent or bill reporter fits better.

Does Kikoff report to all three bureaus?

Kikoff's credit line has reported mainly to Equifax and TransUnion, and its rent reporting has posted to Equifax with TransUnion varying by account. That is worth checking directly, because if a lender pulls Experian, a Kikoff tradeline may not be on the report they see. StellarFi's Smart Card reports to all three.

Do StellarFi or Kikoff fix a bad credit report?

No. Both add positive history, but neither reads your report for errors or challenges a wrong late payment or a collection. If your score is low because something on the file is wrong, adding a new tradeline does not reach it. That is a different job: Credit Booster AI scans all three reports, drafts the paperwork to challenge errors, and reports rent and bills, for $9.99 a month.
