Frequently Asked Questions

Can you still get Conn's HomePlus financing in 2026?

No. Conn's HomePlus filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in July 2024 and closed all of its stores by late October 2024. Its in house credit card and YES MONEY financing are no longer available, and there is no way to apply as a new customer in 2026. If you need furniture or electronics financing, you will need a different lender.

Who issued the Conn's HomePlus credit card?

Conn's ran its own in house lending rather than partnering with an outside bank for its store card. It offered a closed loop store credit card usable only at Conn's, plus YES MONEY, an installment program aimed at applicants with limited or challenged credit. Because the financing was in house, the wind down ended new lending entirely.

What credit score did Conn's HomePlus require?

Conn's was known for approving challenged credit and thin files that mainstream lenders declined, so there was no meaningful score floor. It priced for higher risk and leaned on income and employment more than a single number. That flexibility is history now that the company has wound down.

What happened to my Conn's account after the bankruptcy?

Conn's customer accounts and receivables were sold to Jefferson Capital Systems in a transaction that closed in December 2024. If you still owe a balance, that debt transferred to the new owner, and you are expected to keep paying it. Accounts continue reporting to the credit bureaus, so payment behavior still affects your score.

What are good alternatives to Conn's HomePlus financing?

Because Conn's is closed, look at lenders that still serve challenged credit. A secured card or a credit builder account reported to all three bureaus is the strongest way to rebuild, and lease to own retailers plus some Synchrony store cards can finance furniture and electronics. Clean your reports first so you qualify for better terms.
